We will be featuring the work of local artist Laurel Guy during the month of August. You might find Laurel on the side of the road or standing out in a field in either Ithaca, New York, or Santa Fe, New Mexico. The Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York and the Southwest couldn’t be more different and yet they both inspire her. It’s about the sky. The hills. The color. Her car is always packed with art supplies and ready to go. On a perfect day, she takes out her easel, soft pastels, sanded paper, and her dog Hugo, and makes a painting. There is something about the view in that particular place that made her stop and look at the world.
The Frame Shop is a woman owned and operated business in downtown Ithaca, framing your artwork since 1956.
