SOAG is a cooperative fine art gallery operated by our members from the Finger Lakes region of New York. We have two juried shows each year, an invited guests show, and many shows by our members. For Seeing Ithaca, members and their guests will creatively interpret that theme. Opening night: August 4th, 5–8
This exhibit, A Season of Ithaca, will feature portraits of locations in and around the city of Ithaca by Carlton Manzano. Carlton works outdoors, creating representational work predominantly of urban settings in oils on board or canvas. Opening night: August 4th, 5–8
This exhibition celebrates a pioneering group of queer artists who left the disparaging metropolis for Danby to build a commune, plant gardens, and party. Along with art made by members of the collective, we are also showing some contemporary pieces that channel the Lavender Hill legacy. Opening night: August 4th, 5–7

In Observance, featuring work by Jack Elliott, Greg Page and Jari Poulin. All three are established Ithaca artists and educators who work with the theme of the natural environment. Opening night: Saturday August 5th from 4–6
Ben Frank Moss (1936-2019) was a painter and a teacher, with the majority of his teaching career being spent at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. His studio in Washington state is where he spent his summers painting from 1976 to 2017.
The Ink Shop Printmaking Center will show member work, either Ithaca inspired or created here. Our studio has several new members and we are excited to add their unique contributions to the pool of diverse printmaking imagery and techniques that the Ink Shop artists use. This exhibit is in conjunction with our annual Member Exhibit which provides the opportunity to see the creative and skilled work coming out of Ithaca’s own community print studio.

The Mink Gallery will be featuring Gorge Walks. Gorge Walks are impressions of Ithaca through every season, in various abstractions of what makes Ithaca and Tompkins County unique. Opening night: August 4th, 5–8
Maro Kariya and Werner Sun present a multimedia installation with projection mapping and geometric paper forms incorporating images of the natural beauty around Ithaca. Opening night: August 4th, 5–8
